Very reluctant sale of my Racing Bronze MX5 Mk2 1.8i £2,600 NOW SOLD
I have owned this car since 2012 and only used it for club runs and the odd holiday. It has been kept in a dehumidified garage with my other cars and motorcycles. My wife has recently purchased an MX5 Mk3.75 which will now be used for holidays and club events leaving mine unused. I would like to use the garage space for another 1920s vehicle which is my main interest and will get more use.
This is an excellent example of the Mk2 with no rear sill corrosion and sound chassis rails. All enclosed body sections have had internal anti corrosion treatment and externally covered in Waxoyl. I have always spent whatever was needed to keep it in top order and frequently bits it did not need. Over the past few years it has had new wire wheels and tyres ( about 200 miles use) new Panasonic battery, new calipers and braided hosed, new aluminium radiator, four branch s/s manifold and exhaust with genuine Mazda CAT. Includes hard top and hard top storage bag to keep it clean in summer. Various spares and books will be included. Original brochure etc.
I have created my own limited edition with Nardi wood rim steering wheel gear knob and handbrake. Seats have leather covers with orange stitching which matches other upholstery. I could go on but come and see for yourself the kettle is always on. I am retired so viewing available most times. I have a pit and a ramp which you can use to check out all the important bits. Car is near Basingstoke Hampshire.
