Hi, I have an Eunos RS Limited and I’m trying to replace the RS stickers but I can not get the sticky residue off.
Does any one have any tips to help??
try boiling hot soapy water after you rub lots of vinegar on , if still stubborn put a hair dryer on it heat it up hopefully it will peel off , then T cut and polish and buff after washing in warm water , take your time should work good luck regards Richy … Top down always
White spirit.
Try a can of spray electrical cleaner. Works a treat.
I’ve used WD40 in the past…
I use a caramel wheel to remove stickers but it sounds like you have gone beyond that stage and just a gluey residue left behind.
Usually just grab my mower petrol can and put some on a soft cloth. Not much in terms of adhesive that petrol or a similar petroleum produce won’t get off
Have you tried using a wire brush?

Personally in the past i have used bird poo/tree sap remover, leave it to soak for a bit, then apply heat from a hair dryer, and use some dental floss using a sawing action. Any residue should come off nicely with more of the goo and heat.

Most stickers are vinyl, with an adhesive backing, Usual best way to remove everything at the same time is by gentle heating with a hair dryer (Not a paint remover type of heater). Sounds like you have gone past that stage, so any of the above tips should help. Me - I use white spirit, followed by a clean off with meths, as white spirit leaves a film coating. Polish up after. If the stickers have been on a long time, then you may notice a difference in paint colour to the rest of the car, so some buffing may be required.
- I had lettering on my van when I sold it, and despite removing all of it, I could still read it several years later, when I saw it after the second owner bought it!
Puzzled though - most owners are pleased to get an RS, you aren’t apparently - each to their own?
+1 on the WD40, its also good for removing the horrible sticky greasy residue that collects on the top of kitchen wall units, a tip to pass to the wife to earn brownie points!
