I am now on with removing my 2007 NC door. I have this http://www.mellens.net/mazda/Mazda-Miata-2006-2007/doors_and_liftgate.pdf
but am concerned about the electric connection that goes to the A pillar. Does it just lever out from the A pillar gently. I do not want to break any lugs off if I am too violent with it. Any tips would be appreciated. Cheers
Hmm, that lever shown in the Fig 3 drawing is inside the pillar, and will jack the loom plug out of the socket of the connector. Then it seems to just be the sprung plastic lugs at the top and maybe at the bottom of the connector shell holding it to the pillar. I would imagine that a small wooden drift held against the top shoulder would help one to push it out, perhaps with a gentle tap to start it.
I’ve never done this and expert advice from a dismantler or Robbie would be more reliable than my guess.
Be careful, age might have made it brittle.
