Hi, as part of my new head unit install, I am going to fit the DAB antenna that sticks to the windscreen by the A Pillar. I have a 2013 NC PRHT.
Can anyone let me know if the a-pillar simply pulls away or do I need to remove the couple of large star head screw fitting at the top, where the roof connects into?
Thanks in advance.
Hi, yes, the two bolts are Torx heads and they do need to be removed, or at least loosened. The top of the plastic trim has a ‘tongue’ that slips behind the header rail trim running across the top of windscreen. Once the two bolts are removed you can pull the trim away, it also has a ‘tongue’ at the bottom where it slots down at the side of the dash. Easy to remove and replace

Ensure you pull the trim away, towards the centre of the dash. The pillar has a long lug that fits into the A pillar at 90 degrees to the trim, 2/3 of the way up from the dash. If you were to pull it away towards the rear of the car, it’s likely this will snap. Not the end of the world, but best avoided.
