Hi, I’ve looked at two Renovo products, the cleaner and the reviver.
My hood is in good condition so which one should I use please?
And secondly, when should I use the proofer?
Many thanks guys

Both! Clean it with the first one, the other is then like dye, and will make it all nice and black again. Then you need the third one, which is a proofer to make it more water resistant…
I think it depends whether your hood is vinyl or mohair.
MX5 Parts has the appropriate products for the appropriate hood type (e.g. mohair cleaner/reviver/proofer for mohair hoods or vinyl cleaner/proofer for vinyl hoods).
There isn’t a reviver for vinyl hoods.

Mohair hood so the proofer will be required.
Can I spray it on rather than a brush? Or does it need agitating?
I did it recently using a brush. Very easy and was able to make sure that the product stayed on the hood, not the bodywork or glass.
Many thanks
Last time I proofed my Mohair hood I used Fabsil, applied with a brush. You get lots more for your dosh and so far its lasted much longr than either the Renovo or Autoglym proofers
Hmmm, that’s interesting.
A lot cheaper too! Thanks
I just applied the ultra proofer a few weeks ago and the rain just soaks into the material, have used autoglym stuff in the past with great results, but this renovo seems pants, did all 3 treatments over separate days and followe instructions! Any ideas guys?
