I asked this earlier this week and it seems to have disapeered ,is there a charge for members as spectators for blyton track days ,just want to wander the paddock ,take afew photos poss make some new freinds Iam a member but do not want to use the track facility many thanks
everyone is more than welcome to come along, there’s no charge for spectating and hanging out…
you may be tempted to buy a passenger wrist band on the day though and experience a few laps, plenty of people will be on hand to take you out…
Definitely come along o-e-m… it’s a great event.
All free to spectate; stand on the viewing bank and pick out any driver/car you would like to be a passenger with - I can’t imagine there would be anybody who’d decline to give you a passenger ride!
I spectated 2 years ago - and the year after I couldn’t spectate again… I had to join in, so be warned! (Although I think you mentioned that you’d been track a lot in the past? Maybe you can jump in with me and give me some pointers???)
My personal advice would be to take a ride in a ‘standard’ members car, and then jump into one of the track-prepared cars (hoping that some of Mx-5 series race-guys will be there?); the standard car/driver combination is really really great fun, but the race-guys are SOMETHING ELSE… they don’t drive, they “dance” around the track - you’ll know what I mean after comparing!
Often been said, but the best upgrade for your car is “Get some track-driving tuition”
Also some trade stands and OC merchandise to tempt you
That goes for me too.last year was my first Blyton, free camping, great atmosphere and people, this year I have got my novice tracktime booked. i dont expect to set a new lap record but the opportunity to “open the taps” in a track enviroment is too good to miss…Oh yes take some extra cash…there WILL be something there you just have to buy…
Thanks guys just wanted to be correct.I drove at Blyton a long time ago in a Crossle Form Ford I looked after for a sadly passed away friend we worked a personal deal with a farmer for a few quid ,around the same time we got Cadwell for £35 for the afternoon direct from the guy who owned it at the time ,happy days!!!
Here’s your original post http://www.mx5oc.co.uk/forum/yaf_postst84042_blyton-15.aspx
WAS-I-DUN Oh yes the MaX5 race cars and drivers will be there in force again. Wouldn’t miss!
Hey o-e-m,
I think Jeremy just invited you to join him in the passenger seat!
I’ll be searching him out for sure - looking forward to another lesson how to push these cars to their limits, whilst exploring my own personal driving limits.
Cheers, Tim
