replacement soft-top

Hello,

I am a new member here. I have had 1998 MK1 for about ten years and the roof is now in a bit of a state. I would like to get an original style hood fitted (is that the best option?) perhaps a mohair version. I have read that some offer non-standard hoods which are inferior? There seem to be so many companies offering various specs out there that it’s a bit confusing. I am in the south east, between Cambridge and London. Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hot Hoods or The Mazda Hood shop, both based in Romford.

Thanks Nick and Jane, I’ll have a look at those. I did have Hot Hoods lined up to replace my hood but they couldn’t get the hood in the end for some reason. I’ll try The Mazda Hood shop. Cheers!

Has anyone had experience with Freelance Mazda in Kent? just as another option.

If you can wait for the Spring Rally or don’t mind a trip up to Knutsford, I would highly recommend MazMania. By far the best replacement hoods available IMHO. They’re usually at the Spring and National Rally. Fitted in a couple of hours, look superb and perfect fit. Peter usually does a good deal on the price for the rally too. He did my Mk2 last year and I couldn’t be happier with it.

Freelance Mazda are highly recommended, by me and others in the S.E.That’s if you don’t mind a long trip - M25 and all.

I’d highly recommend MazMania for hoods, I’ve fitted 2 hoods supplied by Peter and I have to say that they are a perfect fit…

+1 for mazmania!!!
