- My model of MX-5 is: 1990 eunos
- I’m based near: Nottingham
- I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Revs bouncing
Hi guys, I’ve recently repaired the t fitting on the lower thermostat housing (as per last post I tapped a brass fitting in and moved the t down). I replaced the thermostat and thermostat gasket whilst I was in there. I now have a few issues.
I’ve ran the car up to temperature a few times the fittings don’t seem to be leaking. Something I have noticed is when I’ve given the car some revs on the drive to make sure everything holds, if I hold the revs just over 2250 they drop to around 2k and then bounce between the two. If I put my foot down I can push past the 2250 but would ideally like to sort this before I try to drive the car. the car is idiling just below 1k
Any advice as always will be much appreciated.
