Ridewell Road Safety Awareness show. Sunday August 2nd

Sunday August 2, 2009
Time:   10:00 am - 4:00 pm
  .
Location:   Preston Hall & Museum, Yarm Rd, Stockton. TS18 3RH
Notes:   This year the ninth Annual Ridewell event presented by Cleveland Police and Stockton on Tees Borough Council is to be held on Sunday August 2nd 2009 at Preston Hall and Museum, Yarm Road , Stockton with the fun starting at 10am. This being the 9th event since it all started in 2000, it would have been the tenth but sadly the 2007 event had to be cancelled due to the deluge that engulfed the country rendering the Park unsafe for use.

For those not familiar with the day, this primarily is a Two Wheeled Road Safety/Fun Day with the emphasis on enjoyment and to that end apart from the usual things you would expect to see at a Road Safety Show there will be Traders, Dealers and club exhibitors from both the Motorcycle and Pedal Cycle World in attendance, including live Music. http://www.ridewell.org.uk/

Tyne Tees MX-5 Area has been given space to display ten cars at the show: Mike Altringham. Jen Dorgan. Fred Godson. Richie Humprey. Dave Land. Jim Lowrie. Alan Rawlins. Brian Scorer. Herbert Simpson and Simon Williams. We’re taking the opportunity to sell raffle tickets for the 15/20 raffle, so come along and show us your support. Entrance is free.

I was well impressed with the guy with the very shiny engine bay. I’ve never seen so much chrome on a maxda before!

That’s Alan Rawlin’s car (Pollyanna on the Forum) He loves his car and is ingenious in what he does to make it look like that.

We had a really good day at Ridewell yesterday, we were very pleased with the number of visitors we had to the stand, and it was a pleasure to meet so many members that we hadn’t met before.

Afterwards, I wrote to the Chief Superintendant of Cleveland Police, to thank him for allowing us to attend the show and received a very nice letter back from him.
