Hi All
My MK1 has just had an MOT and it was noted that one of the coil springs is broken.
I replaced the standard Mx5 shocks with Rokkor coilovers from Ebay in 2011, however a quick look online indicates that they probably don’t exist anymore (I have emailed the US company to see if they are related).
This leaves me with a dilemma of not being able to replace the spring.
Does anyone know of a suitable like for like replacement? Or am i up the creek without a paddle and in need of new coilovers?
Thanks in advance

I think Rokkor morphed into another name?
But you can still get Chinese (?) cheap & nasties.
For God’s sake don’t think for a second I’m recommended those in the link…your shout.
Personally, I’d rather fish around for a quality used kit.

They look suitably horrid, and probably are.
Yes Rokkor and TA Technix are the same product as my son ordered one set for him and 1 for a friend and they were identical. Actually I didn’t think they were that bad for the price, just don’t lose the top nuts as they were a fine thread !
Please do not replace 1 spring for your own safety !both fronts /rears or idealy all 4!
Hi All
Thanks for the replies.
I will look into TA Technix. I didn’t think the Rokkors were too bad for the price. Obviously not as good as the more expensive stuff, but given that they replaced 130,000 mile originals that were shot, the improvement was huge!
Just a bit more complicated to get spares for…
one eyed mick - Fortunately i am not “one of those”. Single sided replacements make me cringe. Thanks for your concern though.
Cheers
