Hi I’m hoping one of the knowledgeable people on here can tell me whether my MX5 registered in June 2005 is a MK2, 2.5 or 3 ?
And once I’ve found that out, where’s a good place to get the rear chrome rollbars from; are they easy to fit ?

Mk3 MX5= NC MX5
Mk2.5= NB-FL MX5 (or NBF MX5)
Presumably, you actually mean style bars, not actual rollbars. Stylebars are purely decorative. MX5parts sell them. Easy to fit to a Mk1/2/2.5. You may lose use of your factory windblocker though.
As yours is a 2005 icon then its a MK2.5 There was no MK3 Icon until later on at around 2007
Style bars are reasonably easy to fit but depending on the type you get you may have to remove the existing windblocker.
This style bar is a genuine Mazda one complete with windblocker & is an easy install (2 screws each side) once youve removed your existing fold down windblocker. They are a satin finish though as apposed to chrome. You can even fit a speaker sound board between the hoops so you dont lose your rear speakers (assuming you have them?)
