I think that you’re missing the point! That’s why a lot of people have bought & experiment with all types of wind blockers of different materials & sizes, as well as the enjoyment of designing and developing something individual, that make our cars personal and unique to us. If you don’t think that they’re a good idea, that’s fine too.
Yes fresh air around you is the best feeling in a soft top. However without effective wind blocking the air goes up over the windscreen and then swirls around and creates an unpleasent draft blowing up and forwards behind the head. A gentle breeze is nice, a gale force windaround the neck and ears can be a real pain.
Don’t get me wrong I’m happy for anyone to do whatever they want to do their cars. Not sure your reply needed the exclamation mark.
If you want to fill the gap easily what about just some simple material covers to go over the hoops? Obviously wouldn’t look as good as a proper infill but would sort the issue quickly and easily until you could make something up or buy something.
I guess I just enjoy the wind as I’m driving and to me that is part of the fun after all this is how I drive my Land Rover and I love every second of it.
Now I see it from your point of view.
if you see what’s inside those roll hoops (and by what is how thin and small they are) you would want to buy something more substantial…
