Proposed  North West Midlands  MX5 Run out, 16th December to Ramsbottom Christmas market.

 

Meeting point, Waitrose Newport car park.

Time 7.45 for an 8.00am get away.

Travelling time 2 hours 50 mins.

80 Miles 160 total run out.

No planned stop due to time/distance but roughly half way farm shop and cafe if needed, can arrange stop by phone to leader on the day if required.

Things to do and see :

Its a nice run out.Ramsbottom Christmas market food, drinks, crafts, cafe, market located in the town centre, other shops such as clothes, number of interesting antique shops, craft shops, cafes, supermarkets within easy walking distance as is the East Lancashire Steam Railway trains hopefully running on the day also near to station will be a car boot sale.

 Have located a restaurant & bar “Hearth of the Ram” very close to all the attractions where we can park on arrival (11am) and have lunch together around 1.30pm. We have a sample menu (example only) with approximate prices. I can book but need £10 deposit from every body. 

 Wind our way home after lunch.

 Need to limit to around 30 people 15 cars.

 Have to book restaurant by 5th November, quick reply would be appreciated.

As novices, would you let me know if this mail is a succesful booking, or do I need to go to a different part of the forum ?
Also, do you need any payment from us up front, to secure the restaurant booking ?

I still haven’t attended any club runs and I don’t need much of an excuse to visit Rammy!

We ( the main group) are not  all stopping over night, although  there are a few members who are going to stay over but not sure of their plans, I guess you can find a room somewhere.

Main party plan is to arrive at 11am at the Hearth of the Ram, then just go on a walk about , meeting up for lunch 1.30.

If you are happy to sort yourself over night can meet at 11am and you can join us for lunch. I need to confirm numbers so if you can let me know.

Final numbers for Ramsbottom Christmas Market run and Lunch, 16th December.

Restaurant numbers now confirmed & booked deposit paid.

 

Meeting point Waitrose, Newport, Shropshire, TF107DL.

7.45am meet leaving 8.00am prompt.

80 miles, 3.0 hours including brief stop.

Arrival 11am parking (together) at Hearth of the Ram BL00AA.

11am free time market and town.

Lunch meet at the Ram 1.30pm.
