Rust appearing, not sure how bad it looks. Advice needed

That’s not appearing…that’s well established, but I’ve seen much worse. You could easily sort it out before it gets any worse.

take it to a garage and get it undersealed.
they will clean back the rust and treat it and then underseal the whole underside.
and you wont have to worrie about it reappearing for about 8 to 10 years

Having experienced the following from MX5 Restorer in Pevensey I would get them to:

a. Carry out their F.O.C.19 point inspection.

b. Have them Wax Fill box sections to help stop box sections and sills etc. rusting from the inside and Underseal the car. I paid £480 inc. and would do it again I’m very pleased.

They will need your car for 3 days to wax fill and underseal so they can fully dry it out.
