Ruth - new member

Hello, this is my first posting and I’m a Mazda mx-5 newbie!

I have a brand new mx5 soft top and I love it! I’ve only had it for 8 weeks and I adore it. I had a Polo before so this is a car dreams are made of and I can’t wait for warmer days although I have driven it with the roof down and heating on! I’ve bought myself a bobble hat from the club shop so I’m good to go!
I’ve read a few posts but still feel a little lost…
I love the way I get waves from other mx5 drivers but would love to know if there are any more like me locally…
Here’s a picture of Joe

Hello and welcome along @roofy100 :+1:

I suppose we’re all local to a certain extent, a common community or interest definitely!

What’s your general location? I’m sure there’s a regular group or events not too far away from you.

Lovely looking car. There are some smashing roads around your way. Enjoy :+1:

I suppose that could be West Midlands Area of the Club, my Geography down there is not the best. You should be within reasonable reach of a few Areas possibly.

Thank you Ian I shall investigate :blue_car::blue_car:

Welcome  Your local area is probably North East Midlands, as the Club states it covers the LE postcode.

Welcome to the club. Joe looks lovely. 1.5 sport? Any plans to change/enhance/modify or enjoying as is?

Yes there is…I take myself out on the quiet country roads…love it!

You will have had some of the serious polishers on here shrieking with horror at you drawing a heart in the snow on your new paintwork!

It certainly looks the part as is I would say. One of the many good things about the mx5 is you can add all sorts to them if you wish. There is always lots of help and advice on here whenever you want it!

If the car was not covered in dirt (which I doubt it was) before it snowed then I wouldn’t worry :grinning:. Welcome to the club. Your car looks lovely.

Hi, I did reply to you as soon as I read your message but then had an email saying my message couldn’t get through but would keep trying!! Hope you don’t think me rude!
Loved your message - all my cars have been Joe the Lion - a ref to Bowie I suppose…
I do love my car - it’s the smartest I’ve ever had and it’s where I go to clear my head and get a rush.
Finding some useful tips here as to how to maintain my soft roof maybe further down the line and maybe getting a roof protector…?!

Welcome to the club, I’m a newbie too!
I bought a roof protector for mine. It a U.K. Custom Covers Half Cover (cost just under £100). Easy to put on and to remove, folds up really small so takes up very little (precious!) boot space and it’s supplied in a zipped bag. I recommend it
