    Has anyone disconnected the air bags cable under the seats? I am told you have to disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes. Are there any other things I should be aware of. I want to fit seat covers but have to take the seats out to gain access to the underside of the seat.

Check that you have the radio code (if it’s been coded), read up on resetting the idle speed and the steering perameters. Info can be found by using the search facility on the forum.
Briefly for the steering it’s turn the steering from lock to lock with engine running and if the idle speed is wrong leave it idling for 10 -15 minutes, others have just driven the car until the idle settles down.
Make sure you reconnect the under seat plug fully when you remount the seat.
