Sample Tulip Roadbook wanted

I’ve signed up for a drive out where I’ll be given a Tulip Roadbook. Or rather my co-pilot who has never seen a Tulip Roadbook before will be the navigator. Does anyone have a sample Tulip Roadbook for somewhere in the region so we can practice before the big day. One for the Elgar Route in either direction would be fantastic. Also any tips for either me as driver or my co-pilot as navigator?

Have a look at the SWM event for this Sunday’s drive, you can download the route instructions (tulip roadbook as you call it) from there

Look for “Drive Route: DriveMarch2026.pdf” on this link
https://mx5oc.co.uk/event/south-west-midlands-march-monthly-drive-in-your-5-hosted-by-jolie-wood/

(You will need to log on to the event page to access it, you don’t have a membership tick in your avatar above which suggests you wont be able to access it.)

Have a look here Don Barrow Navigation Tulip Roadbook Editor Software There appears to be a free download but plenty of ‘samples’ are shown as well.

I’ve joined up so will look into this map. I’ve also registered to MRA and will look into how to load your map into that as well.

Thx.

I did come across that but couldn’t see any routes to download. I’ll install the app later and see if that opens up any maps. Thx.

With a tulip road books you do not usually get a ‘map’, it is just a list of simple instructions and diagrams to follow, just as those that you can see in the link that I gave.

It says I don’t have access although that’s probably because I’m too tight to purchase the subscription…yet!

Have a read here

And here

I really like what the South West Midlands group do here… providing the route as a Tulip map (for those who want to pretend they’re rally drivers, and have a second person in the car with them). But also providing the route as a trace route using MyRoute that you can download for Google Maps or for a Satnav. It is great to see a group recognising that different people like their information in different ways - kudos to the SWM regional group!

My enquiry about Tulip Roadbook examples is for a charity drive where the route won’t be to any gps optimised route but to Tulip Roadbook handout on the day. My navigator ( better half) hasn’t ever used a Tulip Roadbook so I thought it would be expedient to try one first before the charity run.
