I recently bought a mark RF which of course I love , but want to update my satnav .My local main dealer say they’ll do it as part of a service but they’re very expensive and I’d rather use my own service garage as they’re good , reliable and a lot cheaper.I know I can buy an update chip (if that’s what it’s called) from Mazda but I’m not confident I could install it .Could anyone in Eastern region help me with this ,maybe at one of the monthly meets or I can come to you .My partial postcode is Co9. If it is than 3 years old it should be foc to update.
If older it will cost. It is cheaper and easier to buy a new sd map card from on line suppliers. They are plug and play.
Thanks for replying,its a 2020 model , I’m happy to pay for a new update card, I think they’ve about £45 ,it’s the installation process I’m not confident about.
You just remove the old card from the slot and put the new one in. This is with the ignition off.
