The final format for the Tours at our Spring Rally have
been settled. The Flyer for this Tour is available in the Download Area of the
Website [ see links at the top of this page]. There will also be a detailed route itinerary available to
download for this Tour from the end of March.  I have tried to give as
many different options with the 5 x Tours to enable Members to plan their
weekend according to their journey time/ accommodation location and whether you
are coming to the Hoppers Supper on the Saturday evening.

Tour A is now a shorter
than originally advertised for logistical reasons. This is the only Tour which
will be have a local lead driver and will run in small group departing from the
Hop Farm.  All other Tours are self navigated.

HOP FARM TO BEWL WATER
RESERVOIR

Please note:

Tour A
details have been revised from the original version for logistical
reasons.  This is a 2 hour drive with a
lead local driver and will leave the Hop Farm Rally site in small groups
between 1000 – 1030hrs on Saturday 21 May. If you would like to take part in
Tour A, please pre book your place via the Rally booking form available in STHT
(since the December 2010 edition). If you are coming to the Hoppers Supper on
the evening, the booking form must be
received no later than 15 April 2011.

outlining the route are shown below. Detailed, easy to follow route directions
will be available to download from the Club Website for this Tour from the end
of March 2011 or can be collected at the start on the day.   

 

Description of Tour A.

This Tour
is for those Members who would like to take a leisurely drive exploring and passing
through several picturesque Kentish villages, before arriving at Bewl Water
Reservoir where the Tour ends. 

There are
different options for lunch and how you can spend your afternoon, depending on where
you are staying and whether you have booked to come to the Hoppers Supper in
the evening.

Approximately
40 miles long and about 2 hours for a leisurely driving to Bewl Water Reservoir.

NB: Please don’t forget to allow time
to return to your chosen overnight accommodation and the Coach Pick up times to
return to the Hop Farm in time for the Rally Dinner, which starts at 1830hrs at
the Dray Ballroom, in the Hop Farm complex.

If you are planning a picnic there is a lovely grassy area sloping
down to the Water and we are suggesting this as an option then you may want to buy food en route. We have enquired

START VENUE    : The Hop

flags, where you will be allocated a Group Number to display & then Park as
directed.  Please note that there are no
refreshment facilities at the start of Tour A. There will be 2 x Porta Loos at
the start venue.

                                      

NB: The Car Park area used for Tour A is not the Main
Rally site, which is further down                 and
beyond the Camp site and cannot be seen from the Tour A start location.

ARRIVAL TIME                   From 0915 hrs - Arrive and park as directed. Departures
in Groups with a lead local driver at
approx. 3 minute intervals.
