Tour B.
website is  - http://www.leeds-castle.com

Still early planning stages for the events ?

But would be an idea to organise a special entry fee for MX5 owners…
I am guessing there would be more than 15 people on the drive which is their minimum Group number at a price of - ADULT - £12.00 - a bit better than the normal £17.50

Hi Alan

This maybe something that will be considered, unfortunately these things cannot be sorted out until the New Year when prices may vary anyway, this is all in hand and if we can get discounts we will do our best of course.

Thank you for your comments and continue to watch this space for further updates.

The prices quoted are only 2010 price entry, we will have to see what they will be for 2011 on all tours.

Thanks and Best Regards

Sarah (Mazda Chick)

For tour A, will we be able to download the route?
Also the other routes?

Carolynne

Just a couple of things to clarify on these 2 posts .

I am still working on the route details for Tour A and they will be available to download nearer the time, but will also be available to hand out on the day at the start of the organised runs from the Hop Farm.

The other Tours B,C,D are all self guided, and the driving details will be less detailed and will be available to download nearer the time. My hope is that this will avoid too much congestion at the Hop Farm on 21 May when Members are gathering  to take part in Tour A.

Tours B,C & D are offered for those Members who may want to do something at their own pace, as an alternative to Tour A, which is a mainly driving day in the Scenic South East Region.

If any AC or any other Member wants to organise their own Group to do Tour B and negotiate a Group Discount with Leeds Castle direct, then they can do so.

Hope this helps clarify the thinking behind what’s on offer on 21 May 2011.

That sounds great, and yes we will probably go out in our own group. (we are also coming down for 3 days so can pace ourselves!).

Carolynne

Hi All

Flyers for the tours are now available in the download area.

Just a note to say that there has been a re think on Tour A on the Saturday 21 May, so the link to the details has been  disabled for the time being.

We will be posting revised information as soon as possible.

Many thanks

Paul Cleaver

 hi sarah

been trying to get into download area but it says it does not exist?

andrew

 Hi Andrew

Your are quite right, we have had to have a rethink due to logistics and amount of cars that have suggested are coming (Brilliant news), we are revamping them at the moment and will be ready to go by the end of this week and will get them in the download section for you all.

Our Kentish roads are far busier and being May will be holiday season, so we have decided to have the Heart of Kent Tours as a downloadable self drive event at your own convenience this will become (Tour E) but we have a new tour A that is far shorter just the morning only with lead drivers for those that wish to have a lead driver but all will be revealed later this week.

We will have Tours A, B,C,D, and E all will be downloadable for you to enjoy at your own leisure as many of you are staying for 4 - 7 days or more, plenty of time to enjoy the runs, places to visit  and tours we have suggested for you to fully enjoy the Kent and Sussex countryside.

Keep watching and all will be revealed, later this week

Best Wishes

Sarah (Mazda Chick)

Hi Sarah,

Are the drives in the download area staying the same with just the set off times to change?

Many thanks

Carolynne

 Hi Carolynne

Morning, I know that Tour A at the moment is being finalised almost there just got one more test to do on the 10th April and then this will be ready to be added to download area, The others B,C,D and E are all self drive so starting times are at your own leisure however if you want instructions on these then come to the Hop Farm Starting area for 9.30 am. Tour E is about 6 hours in total with stops and looking at various places on route.

Places I would recommend seeing are Leeds Castle (at least a days visit)  and Bodium Castle with the train ride from Tenterden (at least a days visit)

I hope this helps, I will get Paul who is doing the tours to double check everything but I think the final bits will be added to the forum around or just after the 10th April when all the final test runs etc have been done. Unfortunately with us all working full time, weekends are the only time we get to test them out as they are a good 50 plus miles to the start of the tours to where we all live

See you all soon and looking forward to seeing you all and welcoming you to our lovely Garden of England countryside.

Best Wishes
