Screw help needed!

Have started taking the rear bumper off my car to repair the rust and holes hiding underneath.

But what I thought would be a quick job took over 2 hours.

That was because the rear mud flaps had their retaining nuts had rusted together. So they either broke or would not come undone.

Also the top retaining screw in the wheel arch would not move so I had to drill it out. (what you expect from 15 years of rustin)

Anyway the question is, where can I get the retaining clips and bolts for re-attaching the flaps, and new nuts and bolts to replace the retaining screw that was drilled out???

Any ideas of sizes etc.???

Thanks

MX5Parts have the wheel arch liner retaining screw http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/883 as for the bolts, any good hardware or car spares store should have a selection, you could take the broken bits & try to match up.

Unfortunately thats not the right one! and the mudflaps bolts have a clip type thing to keep them in place. Worse case I will do as you say and get some standard bolts but thought I may be able to get something similar to what I had taken off!

Thanks

I had the same problem with my rear flaps and I fixed them back on using STAINLESS STEEL  nuts, washers and bolts well greased up before fitting. Did a much better job than those that were taken off. Unfortunately it is not possible to do the same with the front flaps. If you can’t get any bolts, send me your name and address, Via Email only, and I will send you some

Thanks for your help, I thought might have to be the solution…
