Can anyone recommend any good specialists they’ve used for servicing and repairs in the West London/Berkshire area?
I’ve recently bought a UK MX5 Mk1 in Classic red and would like to get it checked over before the winter weather sets in!

A couple of members have used, and have been happy with, Sparkes Engineering in Bisley. The guy has experience with MX5s so yours should be in safe hands.

The only downside is they don’t do courtesy cars, so you need to make sure you can get a lift back (which is why I don’t use them).

I’ve also heard that Cox and Buckles in Kingston are supposed to be quite good - has anyone on here had any experience of using them?
I bought my Mk3 from Motorlux in Newbury back in December 2010 and have used them ever since for all servicing, M.O.T’s. etc.
Bit of a jaunt for you from Windsor though! I believe they do offer a courtesy car if required.
I’ve no complaints about them at all, and although they may not be the cheapest, they do a good job.

Yes, we have a few members who go to Alan at Cox&Buckles, and are very happy with the service he provides.
I have been taking my car to Hughs Mazda at Farnham Common, just north of Slough for the past ten years. OC members gets 10% off (check if you book an appointment), which is also the case at MKG3000 at Twickenham.

Excellent standard of workmanship at fair prices. Again, no coutesey car as they are a small independent outfit.
