The 3 out of 4 studs snapped are manifold to cat
Not sure why the cat needs to be replaced. The studs are stuck in the manifold.

Call me a cynic if you want, but that sounds to me like “a nice little earner” for the garage concerned.
A bit like a car that’s in for MOT which fails on…”one of your number plate bulbs is faulty” £20 to remove and replace please.
I have been a victim of that one, despite me doing the pre MOT check. I now take pictures of my lights working on the garage premises before an MOT.
There must be more like that.
Can the offending bolts not be drilled out?
