Just got back from France where I went into a Shell garage on the autoroute. They did not do the usual SP95 but only SP95-E10 which contains 10% Ethanol. They provide a leaflet showing which cars can use this but Mazdas are not listed at all - any models. If not listed they suggest using SP98 which I did. Seems only to be Shell garages at present but no doubt it will spread.
Does anyone know if the E10 is suitable for MX5’s?

I wouldn’t have thought it would be an issue for a Mk3 engine - earlier engines maybe… hopefully someone has some definitive info!
I have just heard from my local dealer (Bourne Road Garage) to the effect that SP95-E10 should be fine for all except older models.
I called Mazda UK regarding this as I’m off to France this May. They put me through to tech support who advised a maximum of 7% ethanol for a NC - “09 plate” so seeing as SP95-E10
comes with a 10% ethanol you can not use it, they state to use SP98 instead.
