Shifter Rebuild Kit

Recently bought the car, shifter isn’t the smoothest,
Cabin is hot and it’s quite ‘fumey’.

So I’m guessing shifter boots need replacing.

Was looking at a full kit though the lower boot is out of stock so was thinking of buying the bits individually from Bofi but with the:

Beatrush bronze bush and the Jass Performance upper and lower shift boot kit.

Is that a reasonable idea or is it just as effective to stick with Mazda OEM?

Just stick with the original kit, I’ve changed several over the years and never had any problems.
