Shock absorbers

The Eunos 1.6 V-spec that I bought in Dec 2002 finally failed an MOT…busted front N/S spring.
The adjusters on the Avo shocks that I’d fitted 18 years ago (and not touched since) were pretty much rusted solid, and Avo no longer do the springs, so I decided to replace the lot with a set of these off ebay:

Now for the money (£250 posted on ebay), I’m under no illusions whatsoever about the probable longevity of these Chinese efforts but what I will say is that they are very nicely engineered and easy to adjust for height and damping once fitted. They’ve done around 100 miles so far, with very acceptable handling, and no sign of any leaks…
