going back to Austria this year i have bought a new water pump to take with me
nothing wrong with the old one i might add
but does anyone think i should change to the new one before i go

No but change the cooling system expansion bottle. Expensive but they can crack at that mileage and the temperature guage is too slow to warn you before the engine is toast.
