Skadi Cooling Expansion Tank - any experiences?

Whilst looking for a UK supplier for the Goodwin/Moroso expansion tank I stumbled across this:

http://www.kage-uk.eu/product/mazda-mx5-mk3-nc-chassis-2-0-polished-coolant-expansion-tank/

Comes to Ā£128 with VAT and postage which is a lot cheaper than the Goodwin tank. I can’t find any reviews or mentions of it elsewhere online though. Is anyone on here using one?

Racing Beat UK is the importer for Good-win Moroso tanks.

I’ve seen no reviews of the Kage ones. I’ve just bought a Good-win tank and am so far happy with it but it is double the price!

Thanks!

I emailed Kage to ask what sort of timescale ā€˜back-order’ might mean:

ā€œDid the final test fit today so I’m hoping to have some stock around the end of November.ā€

So I guess it’s brand new and there probably aren’t any in existence yet. Given the price compared to the Moroso I’m tempted to be a guinea pig.

Did you get anywhere with Kage on the expansion tank?

Been looking at the moroso myself but been keeping an eye on this one too

I have been in touch with Kage a couple of times Blink Motorsport tested the first unit and found it did not fit correctly so some adjustmenuts were needed. I was told it should be available January but nothing materialised and a further email to them brought no response.

Should we be approaching Racing Beat for a group buy discount?

They did a bit of discount when I bought mine, as I pointed out that I could get it cheaper buying it from the USA and paying the duty.

The Moroso unit is a work of art to be honest, superb welding and perfect fit.

I gave up and ordered another plastic tank when MX5 Parts had 10% off. I figured that the current one has lasted 12 years so a replacement will probably outlive the car, and at least you can easily check the fluid level with a transparent bottle.
