Our car (not the 5 I am pleased to say) was ‘bumped’ by another car recently and the driver wants to avoid insurance.
I would be grateful for recommendations of any repairers you have used which would be good quality/value in the Norwich/Wymondham/Dereham triangle (ish!)

Be careful with smart repairs…do some research.

SMART paint repairs? If you’re talking about a mobile repair van, they’re fine if you’re trying to keep costs down and you don’t mind a second rate job. If someone else is responsible for the bill, get it done in a proper body shop. Sloppy second rate repairs look fine with a fresh coat of wax. Months later when the wax has worn off you’ll be able to see how bad the finish is, and if it’s a nice car you’ll regret cutting corners. You can’t go back and complain later, so make sure it’s done properly in a properly equipt body shop.
I had a SMART repair to a front wing of my everyday car (Ford Focus) about six months ago and it’s fine. It wasn’t a mobile job though.
