Smashed MK2 Hardtop Glass - Sourcing Glass/ Perspex replacement

Hi all,

I recently picked up a Mk2 hardtop very cheap as a result of its rear glass being smashed.

I have been struggling to source replacement glass which doesn’t cost as much as a hardtop. Any tips on where I can source replacement glass?

I have also read into using a 3-5mm Perspex sheet to create lightweight replacement screen, Is anyone aware of the difficulty of this process or of how’s Perspex performs interms of noise and durability?

There is this, but I expect shipping to be pricey

So various options, none of which are the same cost as a new hardtop (which is £1000+).

Thank you very much Saz, this is very helpful :+1:
