i’m glad you enjoyed my part of the world, (i live about 3 miles from Llanberis, in a place called Rhiwlas), i’ve drive “down the pass” many times intollanberis, you should have tried the llanberis - capel curig - betws y coed - blenau ffestiniog- aberystwyth, one hell of a drive, but worth it
Went to most of those places & many more. First trip to Wales for about 20 years when kids were little so we enjoyed visiting old haunts & a few new ones.
The place where you parked next to the MR2 was Beaumaris, I lived there from age 8 til joining the RAF at 16. The building to the right hand side with the flag is the Royal Anglesey Yacht Club, and you can just see a bit of the castle on the right of the RAYC building. Very happy memories of Beaumaris—
Spot on Geoff. We had a wander round the castle & a drive round Anglesey that day. Been to Wales a few times but that was our first venture across the bridge.
indeed i can see Beaumaris, Caernarfon, Ogwen Lake (pic with the lay-by), Horseshoe Pass, shame you didn’t visit Ty Croes (the race track used on 5th gear) by Holyhead
Great pictures. I love North Wales, and live near Chester, so regularly go for adventures into North Wales in the car or one the motorbike. I’m camping on Anglesey next weekend, but sadly i’ll be in my MG ZT V6 due to all my camping gear…
Joe we went to Llangollen on the day of the Eisteddfod but left well before it kicked off…Shame really as i`d have loved to have bumped into Katherine Jenkins
