Soft Top Fitting near Plymouth??

Hi all

I desperatly need a new roof!! I was going to buy any colour hardtop to get me through the wet weather but dont really want to be traveling to get one… seen some soft tops on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-MX5-Eunos-Roadster-Roof-Hood-Soft-Top-Black-/110782574217?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19cb27ee89#ht_1552wt_1037 and reading the listing it says “easy fitting” I find that to good to be true lol.

Is there anywhere near plymouth that can fit or supply and fit a roof??

cheers neil

You could consider travelling to Exeter - link to website below.Waving

Used them to replace my hood - not cheap, but good quality service.

Hope this helps.

 Hi Good advice.

Not had first hand experiance but I am told by those who have delt with them that they are very good. If you fancy a trip you could go to Jack Smiths Trimmers in Swansea. Very keen price and excellent service. Don’t know how to post their web site so just Google them and see the details.

Regards

MX5 hoods are, in general, pretty easy to fit; fitted 3 of them over the years. Best done when its a bit warmer.

very true for vinyl - a warm garage is a must or a warm sunny day

for mohair- anytime is good to fit

Iv ended up buying a Black Hardtop with all fixings and storage bagSmile will be picking it up Tuesday!!

Cant wait it’s gonna look fab!!

off topic a little however, did you buy you 5 recently, in plymouth, via autotrader, aprox 4 weeks ago?

No mate bought it through ebay a few months back in plymouth, whys that?

i saw what looked like a nice one and contacted the seller only for it to be sold , very quickly, thought you may have bought it.

No worries.

I have just had a new green mohair roof fitted to my Mk 2 by GJ Sports cars of Launceston. Graham who runs it specialises in MX5’s The price was good and result is spot on. He runs the business from the old school house in Lewannick which is of course not a million miles away from Plymouth. In fact it is 25 miles on the A388. He kept my car for a day but lent (no cost) me his loan Mk1 whilst he had mine. Definitely worth considering.
