Soft top repairs

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a repair kit that has worked for them. I have a Mark 2 with a tatty Tan coloured vinyl roof with several small tears near the seam edges.

I have only owned the car for a couple of weeks and would like to keep initial costs to  minimum until I decide how much of a restoration job I want to do with it.

Diver wet suit repair kit works excellant but not in tan?? Black only I presume?

I used Stormsure RKROOF Car Soft Top Repair Kit (Amazon) last autumn. It is a clear adhesive plus patches and cost £5.14. It has lasted the winter okay and I have raised and lowered the roof several times. My tear was a half inch wide penknife cut at a stress point.
