–Bodywork–
The car is in metallic Twilight Blue which remains in good condition for the age. There are some scratches and a couple of dings, commensurate with the age of the vehicle. In autumn 2020 it received a light restoration by MX-5 specialists, SGH & Sons in Bristol. This included thorough repairs of the front chassis legs, both rear sills, offside rear arch and rear bumper. Last year the car was professionally cleaned and wax oiled underneath for protection. The vinyl roof is in good condition.
Overall this is an excellent looking car and a lovely usable version of a MK2 (NB) MX-5. I have plenty of photos of the repairs made, please ask and I can email these over. Happy to do a video call walkaround as well.
–Wheels–
The alloys have some minor curbing on most wheels but still look perfectly presentable. The alloys have 4 matching Uniroyal Rainsport 5 tyres which have only covered 2,000 miles. Wheel alignment was done at the same time as the new tyres.
–Interior–
Very good condition with it sporting black leather sports seats and dark walnut trim. All switches and dials work as they should. It has a genuine leather Momo Mod. 78 steering wheel but it will also come with the original Nardi wheel in case you want to swap this back. Interior inspiration came from the Rocketeers MK2 demo car!
–Mechanical–
Starts first time with a smooth idle and power delivery. Regularly serviced with everything working as it should. The car has a stainless steel rear silencer from MX-5 Parts. It sounds great.
Genuine reason for sale due to having 3 young kids and a dog, so it’s simply never getting used, much to my disappointment! I’ve described the car honestly and this is reflected in the price so texts of daft offers will be ignored.
This is a really nice, usable example of a MK2 MX-5 that has had the main rust weak spots sorted properly.
