Mal & Terry have invited the “East Sussex & Downs” Area to group together for this event and we are pleased to say that East Sussex & Downs AC’s, Chris & Heather, have accepted the invitation, which is great.
Please note the following;
We have reserved parking in front of the main House for 30 cars, Chris & Heather
have confirmed they already have 10 cars as at (09/01/23) for the event, so booking
will be made on a first come basis.
Solent Members are to meet at:Morrison Supermarket, Lakesmere Road, Horndean, PO89FB from 10.00am to leave no later than 10.30am for approximately a 1hour drive. This will allow
us to arrange parking at the final destination for both the Solent Area together with East Sussex & Downs Area, when we all arrive and meet up with East Sussex & Downs members at Parham House.
There will be reserved parking and we recommend that you bring a picnic and chairs/blanket in order to picnic by our cars, or as detailed below there are facilities for purchasing food on site.
Set within an ancient deer park below the South Downs, Parham is one of the
country’s finest Elizabethan Houses. Parham has always been a well-loved family
home, and only three families have lived here since its foundation stone was laid in
1577. Its tranquillity and timeless beauty have changed little over the centuries.
The Gardens, Mower Shed Café and Garden Shop open at 12 noon, the Gift Shop at
1pm and the House at 2pm. Last admission is at 4:30pm to close at 5pm.
Parham is a cashless site.
