Thank you for letting us know you are staying with family on the sunday.
The plans are still being finalised, ref routes but basically, Alnwick will be the base, as most are staying in, or near the Alnwick area and we will fan out in all directions for tours on different days. We are not planning on doing a route book as such but will provide a series of “Bullet Point Routes” that members can plumb waypoints of villages into their SATNAV to get to the required destination. As with our previous tours, members will not be tied to being in one long convoy, so can choose which venue they wish to go to and a few cars may join them and we will try and convene in an eaterie in Alnwick in the evenings, so we can all exchange notes and people can decide which route they want to do the next day etc

Is there a plan for the Solent Club to meet up before travelling into the Rally next Sunday?
I plan to come up for the day of the rally at Gaydon and it would be nice if I could go in with some others that I know!

Hello Mal regret Elaine & I wont be joining you in Northumberland, the dates just haven’t worked out which is a shame as I’ve not made it to that part of the country yet.
Still hopeful of getting to the Rally on a day trip.

Apologies for my slow response, its been a bit hectic of late. Anyway, to answer your question, yes, we are staying at the Holiday Inn Express Sunday, Warwick the night after the National and driving up to Northumberland on the Monday (Although Serena and I have booked two nights, as going to Warwick on the Sat).
You are very welcome to join us at the Holiday Inn, Warwick (address given below) and we will depart for Alnwick after brekky on the monday

Hi Paul,
Its a bit difficult to predict an exact time, as it depends how busy the breakfast room is on Monday Morning. I would guess, somewhere around 9am but could be 30 mins either side. If you PM me your mobile number I will keep you updated via the WahtsApp Group that will be specifically set up for this tour. We have found that a WhatsApp Group works well for keeping everyone advised of what’s going on and where on past Solent Tours. Regards Mal
Hi Everyone,
For info, a WhatsApp Group has been set up for the Northumberland Tour and those going (21 members in total) should now have received an invite to join the group.
This WhatsApp Group will aid communitions with everyone, so we are all joined up comms wise whilst we are away and the group will be deleted on our return home, as per past Solent Area tours!
If anyone going on the tour does not receive an invite to join the WhatsApp Group, please get back to me soonest and I will remedy the situation.
