We are pleased to announce in conjunction with our MX5OC IOW Colleagues, that we are able to display our cars at “The Car is the Star Event”, hosted by Vectis Historic Vehicle Club on the IOW.
The cost will be £5 per vehicle with two occumpents, for those displaying their MX-5’s - so whats not to like 
Initial details are, as follows;
“The Car is the Star, Family Day Out”
You will be required to arrive by 09.15 and stay in the display field until 4.45pm
(Strictly no movement OFF the Show field for Health and Safety & Insurance reasons)
The Vectis Historic Vehicle Club Ltd, are pleased to advise early details of their 2025 One Day show, with new venue and new family friendly format, something for the whole family, in order that you can let your members know in good time for your diary of 2025 dates.
New Venue: Royal County Showground, Cowes Road, Northwood PO30 5TP
For a family inclusive day out.
Date: Sun 6th July 2025
Time open to the Public: 10am to 4.30pm
Raffle drawn on the day with Great Prizes, Many Retail Stalls, Show Ring Action, Live Entertainment, Children’s Amusements, VHVC Members Autojumble, Food outlets to suit all tastes.
Our aim is to raise money for Mountbatten Hospice and Ability Dogs 4 Young Persons. Other Island Charities will be invited to attend FOC and therefore other Island Charities will benefit too.
Entry: Exhibitors £5 per Vehicle to include up to 2 Adults (additional adults will be charged the normal public entry fee), Motorcycles, Trikes & Scooters, Classic and Vintage Cycles £3, Viewing Public £5, Children (0-16yrs) Free
The VHVC Ltd “The Car is the Star, family day out” is to be held on the 25 acre show ground site with ample free public parking as sign posted. Entry for all at the North Entrance only. Please abide by the guidance of the Marshals, who are volunteers and should be treated respectfully at all times.
Further details will be forthcoming, as the show line-up comes together and this will be posted on this thread when we receive them from the organisers. However, as an initial heads-up, we will be attending this event on the Island and the aim of this post is to inform members, so ferry bookings can be made - dont forget the MX5OC Red Funnel Discount!
Also, accomodation on the island can be booked well ahead of time if you want to make a weekend/long weekend of it
