Some quick questions about lifting rear of the car

just want to triple check something before i get into it.

if you are removing the rear brake callipers, you have to have the handbrake disengaged?

if you are removing the rear axles, you can’t have it in gear?

so both things you usually do when lifting the front of the car, you can’t do for these tasks?

in other words, you have to lift the car with the handbrake off and not in gear?

Yes, that’s right. Chock the front wheels.
