This month’s run is organised by Andy & Jen. The run will start from Tesco car park in Pontardawe. Meet at 10:00 am for a 10:30 am start. The run is approximately 70 miles and will include a pit stop. Lunch will be held at Pontardawe Golf Club. Two course for £7.95 with a choice of beef, chicken or vegetarian.

Thanks to Jen and Andy for organising a very good run.
Also a good lunch at Pontardawe Golf Club – very nice scenic location.
The run started off with horrendous rain that eased off to tropical storm conditions only without the tropical bit, which then eased off to merely torrential.
When the rain did finally ease off to showery and we hit the country roads and lanes it made for very interesting driving, especially the aquatic sections where overflowing streams etc were overflowing into 6/8" deep mini lakes in the narrow roads.
I opted for the very slow first gear approach through the lakes with recently waxoyled sills etc in mind.
Then the sun started to show itself and with only a few scattered showers we suddenly had good driving conditions.
The mountain roads were traversed in great, almost dry conditions and we were able to take good advantage of the many bends, hairpins, steep inclines etc on the almost empty roads over the beacons.
All in all, a great run all round.
