Well, I’d been thinking for ages it’d be great if Mazda did a really bright and sporty colour for the mx5, when I popped past my local Mazda showroom and spotted a spirted green one, wow, what a great colour thought I, I’ll have to have a quick look at that.
A week later and I’m the proud owner of a ex-dealer-demo mk3.5
My work mates are calling it the snot-rocket, which I just know is gonna stick.
So happy with it, the changes from the '58 plate mk3 I had are not huge, but enough to really make it (imho) worth it, the climate control is something I know i’ll love in the summer and the Bose stereo is totally ace. Along with the more obvious cosmetic changes and foldyuptintop (PRHT) I’m a very happy boy.
Very nice, I do love the Sport Black , the only other MX5 to potentially drag me away from my beloved MK1 Gleneagles… Sadly I haven’t got quite enough spare pennies available to add one to my drive!
For the first time in ages I went out for a little drive after work, just for the fun of it (after the evening rush hour(s)) - what fun!
for just pootling along, the cruise control and ace head unit make the cabin a fun entertaining place to be, and when the traffic clears and the twisty roads appear then the roof folds up in seconds and the new resonance thingy in the engine bay makes the intake sound wicked (from 4k to 6k)
The car is totally excellent, I loved my last one, but the slight changes in this one, added to the in your face colour and vinyl really makes this car special to me.
It’s a great car, really made my year (so far, hehe)
It’s great to see you are so active on the forums, I do miss you since you’ve gone and run off to the sun. I remember the first contact with the OC, at karting, and you were totally ace!
