If I simply wish to attend the Spring Rally on the day (s) (ie no accommodation etc) and join in one of the runs on the Saturday do I simply turn up or do I need to book somewhere?

Unless you are getting involved in the track day or the evening meal, there is no need to sign up for anything
These weekends are normally quite laid back, but they allow you to get as involved as you want to be
We normally turn up on the Saturday and pitch the tent - probably have a drive, get some food and then a couple of drinks, on the Sunday get things packed away and enter the event proper
