I saw these pics of some concept Spyder version of an NC, looks lovely.
I was looking at that roof, thinking that something like that should be available, and easy to retro fit to car with a folded down hard top - so you still have that cool soft top look and some extra protection with the roof down. I would definitely buy one if that was made…

Seem to remember something like that on a Porsche Boxster Spyder. A bit impractical if I remember a review that I read. Not sure about the look on an MX5. Imagine the wind noise!
