SS Grille

Hi All
I’m fitting my first bit of bling this weekend a SS Grille from MX5 Parts. Just wanted to check if it is an easy fit or are there some major pitfalls that you have to avoid or tricks that make life simple. Any advice or info gratefully received

Hi Andy, if it’s this one http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/177 it is easy (has to be for me).  Fitting instructions are included, but basically undo 2 bolts, you may have to soak them in WD40, didn’t need to on mine.  And you may have to flex the grille slightly to get it in but not a major issue.

I bought mine from mx5parts last year fitted in two min’s remove the two 6mm bolts in the grille opening get two longer bolts fit the grille with the two longer bolts, then put locking nuts on he bolts behind the grille this makes it a lot safer in case some thieving git tries to nick it don’t forget to paint the tie down hooks silver.

Thanks for the info guys. I’ll let you know how I get on.

I have to wonder if this is this the first step towards the dark side, I find myself looking at clear side repeaters and chrome side rings.

The wife caught me with an MP62 Supercharger catalogue last night, I’d have been in less trouble if it was a porn mag

Job done looks good and should keep any nasties out of the rad, took me about 15 mins to fit. I’ll upload some photos once the sun comes back out.
