Stainless Steel Back Box and Centre pipe for 2009 MX5 2.0 Sport

Hi,

Can anyone tell me which one of these fits my 2009 MX5 2.0L Sport?

This one says Type Approved upto EURO 4, Fitting Kit KIT724, 2 Year Warranty

Mazda, MX5, 1.8,2.0, 2005-2009

This one says Type Approved upto EURO 6, Fitting Kit KIT831, 2 Year Warranty

Mazda, MX5, 1.8,2.0, 2008-2014

Moss Europe supply Cobalt as long as they are in stock. About the lowest price of all the systems. I have two Cobalt back boxes (one NBFL and one NC3.75) and they have lasted years with no problems.

Are they Mot compliant?

I"ve only fitted back box and they are fine. I can. only assume the CAT is compliant. Worth asking MOSS they are very helpful.

Updated question in OP

Both would physically fit.

Your second link is for the “facelift” ( NC2 & NC3 ) cars that have Euro 6 compliance.

The first link is the early ( NC1 ) cars with Euro 4 compliance.

Cheers so Second one as I have 2009 Mk.3.5 cheers

If your VIN is JMZNC1… it’s a Euro 4 emission level, if it’s JMZNCA… then it’s Euro 5.

To determine if your MX5 is Euro 5 compliant, you can check the following:

  1. 1. V5C logbook:

Look for the Euro emission standard listed in section D.2 of the registration certificate (V5C).

Mine says D.2

Variant 18F
Version 6

My Vin is JMZNC1
2009 Mk 3.5
Engine number LF

So the MA606T is the one to get?

It’s all so confusing

Sorry, I can’t comment on the V5C information, I was going off the VIN chart from the workshop manual.

Well my car is defo a Mk 3.5 facelift 2009 and the VIN says it must be Euro 4 going by that chart…

What does Version 6 mean in the D.2 section of the V5C?

Don’t know.

I’ll ring them in the morning and hopefully tell me which one to order.
