Still alive

Hello fellow mx5 people…. I floated around for abit and just became part of the shadows for months and months….
I have received a few messages over that time and I concerned appreciate you guys checking up on me…
In all honesty I just became more depressed is all. I had that bought of meningitis and after that it all went down hill… I have some side effects from it that haven’t quite cleared.
But alas it don’t matter…
I am still alive. I don’t own a 5 anymore as the rust repairs just got too much, it failed its MOT and I just couldn’t justify the cost. So off she went.
One day I’ll return with another, hoping for a mk1 or 4 but having an auto lisence is proving difficult to find. Especially one that isn’t rusty.
I’ll just keep floating about if that is ok… I know I’m not apart of it anymore with not owning one. . But you guys at the meets made me feel good…

Sorry I’ve just struggled to put it bluntly. Can understand if I’m
Not welcome anymore. I can always stick a sign on the car saying ‘ identifies as a mx5’
But that’s the best I can do.

Good to hear from you again Amber.
Stick around and keep in touch.
Cheers,
Guy

Keep floating here Amber. It is about a mentality and mindset, not just what car we’re driving at the moment!

Stay around Amber something will turn up

You’re always welcome here and that car will present itself eventually.

Go to some MX-5 racing/track days as a spectator . I’ve just had a great day in Anglesey, talking to people from all over the country, all with a love of the sport and MX-5s in particular.

No need to have an MX to be in the OC :+1:
Stick with us - you know it makes sense

I’m down the A5 in Hinckley - if I’m due to be travelling north (for example on way to Trac Mon Anglesey), you’d be a very welcome passenger for a day of motorsport on the coast :+1: :racing_car:

Stay safe and keep well Amber

Curborough Sprint Course is close to you. I go sometimes to watch another OC member compete in his MX-5 but there’s always a variety of cars competing and in spectator parking - turn up in anything you like for few hours of free motorsport.

Mx5s live in hearts and minds… not just your driveway or lock up. They form part of a way of life.

More than good enough, hope another finds you soon  :crossed_fingers:

As much as we love them cars are tools (often in the people sense too). You might not have a 5 atm but if you enjoy and appreciate them you’re in the right place.

I hope things are picking up, life’s a tough road at times but you obviously have people who care and want to see you thrive. Look after yourself!

I have an auto (NA - 1800cc -1995).
Nice clean ones are out there.
The bumper sticker is a great idea until you find one!
