This is a heads up for this years Gosport Vehicle Rally, organised by the Gosport Rotary Club.
We attended the rally last year, which is held on the spacious grounds at Stokes Bay, Gosport. PO12 2BL, and it was a most enjoyable day out.
There are all types of vehicles that attend, many different types of stalls to browse, food outlets, music, and much more.
And if that isn’t enough, there is the beach and promenade at Stokes Bay itself,
and, if you’re feeling adventurous and you want to cool of from the blazing Bank Holiday sunshine, a dip in the Solent is just a short walk away!
Also, here is the link to the MX5OC Calendar Post for completeness; HERE
Please register your vehicle, as per the Flyer details and also let me know, by replying to this forum post, that you have registered, so I can track numbers
For info, this event replaces the normal Wednesday evening drive/event, which would have been held on Wednesday 21st August, due to the close poximity of the Stokes Bay Event on the Bank Holiday Monday.
On a final note, has anyone registered for this event yet? I only ask, as I have not had a reply on this thread saying members have emailed: sec.gosportvehiclerally@gmail.com to request their entry onto the stand at this event.
Hot off the press the latest on this event, is as follows;
I have been in contact with Penny Harris at the venue and Penny strongly recommends that **everyone pre-registers and pay our £4 discounted entry fee soonest as this will save us all time upon entry to the showground on the day, as there is likely to be slow moving traffic queueing for booking in on the day.
So those of us who show our pre-booking tickets, will get fast-tracked and waved straight through to our MX-5 stand, which Penny says will be much more civilised
She also said it will also be easier for the organisers to get the correct size of space for our group if we are all booked in - and we save £1 each on the normal admission price!
I am intending to intending take the Area Gazebo and for this I will need to get a PLI certificate sent to Penny, which I am asking Iain Fleming for, as he has all the insurance details they need to know in advance of the event.
