Where do you store your tonneau cover in your car. I cannot see anywhere handy in my Mk1. Also is there a way to fold it without damaging it?
i used to fold mine in 4 where the gaps in the clips are,then loosly fold in half and it got bungied under the boot lid.
Lie the tonneau cover out (carefully) on the boot with the plastic outside on top. Start by folding the bottom up over the top, the two end pieces will also fold up and out. Now fold the two end pieces in - so the outside of the cover is actually to the inside, this stops you damaging the plastic channels. Keeping the two end pieces folded in fold again bringing the two curved section in towards the middle. Finally fold one half over on top of the other. You now have a neat package which fits in the recess at the bottom of the boot.
That’s how I do it. It’s kind of hard to descibe so I hope the above makes sense.
