Has any one ever made some strut braces for their car? If so are there any plans/drawings/dimensions in which to work from. Looking to improve my 2004 mk2.5 handling any info would be gratefully recieved -cheers gary randall
A few people on miataforum have made homemade triangulated braces; the only brace worthwhile in my opinon on the MX5,

Badly designed two-point braces are likely to do nothing, like the cheap braces seen on ebay; a front subframe brace will be cheaper, and more effective.
And if fitting a triangulated brace, fit a brake master cylinder brace into one of the end brackets, to stop this:

I have a Carbing/Okuyama/RS Aizawa/ Mazdaspeed triangulated brace, which has an integral brace. If fixing to the firewall, you need an additional bracket to the scuttle, to stop bolts ripping through.
