Hi all, I have heard that fitting strut braces will improve my cars handling. Is this true? Will I need to install both front and rear or just the front? Thanks

Shock tower braces (the MX5 has no struts) won’t really do a lot, front or rear.
I had a front brace fitted to my Mk1, removed when I fitted a supercharger, didn’t make any difference to the handling, bit of underbonnet bling, that’s about all, just like style bars really
Strut braces are good for cars that have a mcpherson strut suspension setup - in these cars the top mount and strut tower is part of the load bearing suspension components. This means they will flex and a brace will help reduce or prevent that.
The MX5 has a double wishbone setup meaning the shock mount while important, does not bear the same stresses at the tower in a mcpherson strut.
You would be better spending your money on a cabin brace and if needed some under body braces.
