- My model of MX-5 is: NC 3.5
- I’m based near: Chelmsford
- I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Finally finished installing my new Atoto A6. Was fun as I didnt realise I had a Bose amp but I fitted the line out convertors and its now working a dream. Clever bit of kit and so easy to integrate into the MX-5. I found this video invaluable Atoto A6 Bose install
That’s a clean looking head unit. It integrates with the Bose amp? Wonder if that applies to the NB as well. I am looking for a replacement head unit that has red backlighting for the buttons as an option….as well as one that can use the Bose amp and factory Mazda steering wheel controls(analog input for me).
I have the Atoto A6 in my NB2. I’ve set the lighting to red to match the rest of the dash. It will also integrate analogue steering wheel controls very easily.
I presume it would be possible to integrate it with the Bose system, as it has an external amplifier ‘on’ signal and comes with low level output converters.
I’ve installed the Agama launcher on it with the Mazda logos:
(The bezel is one I 3D printed - I may remake it at some point.)
I’ve been happy with it as a head unit / satnav. I did fit a non-reflective screen cover to make it more readable in sunlight when the top is down.
Hi, I wonder if you find the screen visible on this head unit when driving in the sun with roof down?
With a non-reflective screen protector film, I find it OK.
